We teach position by position — a coach sits with your games, shows you the exact moment things went wrong, and gives you the idea you were missing. Lumina Chess Academy opened in August 2026 with a simple belief: every student’s game is their best teacher.

Where understanding comes before memorising
A student who knows twelve moves of a line but cannot say what it is trying to achieve is in more danger than one who knows four. We teach the plan first and the moves as consequences of it. Group sessions are capped so a coach reaches every board.

How we work
You do not have to decide anything on day one. The trial class exists so both sides can find out whether this is a fit — the student plays, works through a few positions, and we tell you honestly which level suits them.
